Note: I'm in the process of getting a dedicated domain and removing the 'wix' ad, so if you can just pretend that's already done. The wix ad really doesn't detract at all from the website... it's just a required nuance of having a free website.

I appreciate any and all comments or suggestions. This seems like a pretty cool site.

Your site is very slow for some reason. I bailed out on seeing the portfolio. The couple of pictures I saw were good, but didn't have time to wait around to see any more. You should consider that. Potential clients will also be waved away by slow site loading, especially publication art directors and photo editors.

Thanks Walter,

  I've saved the images in the Save for Web feature in PS, most between 150-200k, which varies between 70-90% quality.  What suggestions would you have to preserve the quality of the image while reducing the load time, which is probably a result of large files loading?

The slowness is likely due to the use of Flash. Off-the-shelf flash tools are often bloated and run slow. I'm not a flash programmer so I can't say for sure what makes that the case. It is only my experience in seeing them. Professional templates you purchase are generally better. My own site uses straight HTML. No browser plug-ins required. Fast and simple. I use Dreamweaver to maintain it.
