I like the first one a lot. nice energy, and the two performers are nicely composed into one picture. The shadow at the bottom right corner is slightly distracting, but I guess that can't/couldn't be helped.

The second one has slightly too harsh light (I'd really like see some texture in his forehead). Also, the background is a bit distracting.

Overall, nice, keep it up :)

First one is very nice. Second is a bit hard in the highlights, a bit soft in the shadows IMO.

I'll agree with both of the above, 1st one has good composition, exposure, & energy. 2nd one has lost of detail in the highlights. Might try to burn in some of the more distracting highlights in the BG, like the mic & the hand w/head stock. I do like the attitude of the 2nd on e though.
