Re: Brian Auger @ Absinthe
It's a known issue... Try attaching 2 or 3 images, then post, then edit your message to add a few (or add them in a seperate post)
Re: Brian Auger @ Absinthe
Thanks Rene. For those of you that may not know, Brian Auger is a legendary Hammond keyboardist that has played with just about every major act in the 60's and 70's like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, and the list goes on. This show was in a very dingy dark club with almost no light so it was my chance to use my newly acquired SB-800. The results are not bad in my opinion, but I'm interested in your critiques.

Some *very* nice expressions.
Also, good use of the flash. Would have preferred some non-flash images if at all possible (I do see some availiable light in some images)..
Re: Brian Auger @ Absinthe
7 just simply rocks my socks off.
I echo René about the flash issue though.

Very, very good and sharp. Could you tell more about how you handled the flash here?

Thanks. It was my first time using it so I literally just slipped it on and let her fly. I bounced it straight up without a diffusor. Flash was set to iTTL with BL (fill) and FP (which I didn't realize only works in S priority at the time). I find the learning curve for the flash more steep than all my other gear combined. The lighting in this club is pretty much a couple of 100 watt incandescents, I have tried shooting there before and have never had good results. I am really jealous of the shows others shoot here because I don't see those lighting situations very often.
Re: Brian Auger @ Absinthe
Nice colours for flash shots, well done.
1, 2, and 7 are definately the winners there IMO.
Awesome set mate.
