Hello every one, I have looked round the forum and I think I am yet to achive the standard of most of the members images that I have looked at.
My interest in photgraphing musicians is incressing so it was great when I spotted this forum address on POTN forum.
As way of introduction I will post a few images of Tony Murtagh a Young talanted musian that I photographed at the famos Cavern Club, Mathew street, Liverpool. Tony liked these images and invited me to another venue to photograph him again. even more exciting for me next month I am going to Brussels to photgraph him again.

Re: Tony Murtagh
I like #1: Very energetic!
If you could fix the blown parts of the skin, and maybe add a bit of vignetting, it would be great.

Thanks for your comments René I have tried the vignetting and like the result.
Although I am getting fairly proficient using Photoshop I haven’t got a procedure for fixing blown areas of skin that I have been happy with, the result being looked fixed.
Any tips on improving blown areas welcome?
Re: Tony Murtagh
Shoot Raw.
Then either use the 'recovery' slider in LR or ACR 4, or develop twice and blend them.
Both methods can to take the 'sparkle' out of an image if overdone (been there, done that)....
A wrote up a step by step of how I do it (a bit extended) on POTN.
Re: Tony Murtagh
It would be nice to see one with his eyes open, but I know that many singers almost never open their eyes! He looks young and energetic.

Yes you are right. I have photographed Tony quite a few times and I don't have many good shots with his eyes open. The other thing which has proved hard to achive is to get him to look at the camera during his perfomance.
