#1 is nice, as is #7 (allthough a bit square for my taste).
#2 and 4 are a bit too much 'up the nose'.
#3, 5 and 6 are nice, but a bit 'cluttered'.

I like 'em ... sometimes 'up the nose' is a nice change of perspective and there are other things to consider. I certainly like the names these kids come up with for their bands ... no, "Little Princesses" or "Squat Little Faeries" ... all blood and guts! Sometimes I wonder what they would have done if they had gotten into a string quartet, "Mother's Guts" perhaps? :-)

Ok...

[1] and [3] are excellent. Excellent detail and clarity and I really like this. They both convey a lot through the shots, first with [1] through the singer and [2] through the bassist. Nice poses and captures with both.

[2] Not sure this one is working quite as well... the singer's face seems a little out of focus and the perspective isn't all that flattering or interesting imo. You've got better shots with [1] and [3] by far.

[4] This is interesting because of the perspective and it's as if he is raising the mic to 'whatever' is above... the sky works well here to add the interest and imagination to the photo. I'd have cropped tighter at the bottom to get rid of Sam's head though... not enough in there to make it interesting but enough to make him distracting.

[5] Not sure this one works... besides the hair in the face there is nothing to really look at so I don't think it's all that interesting. Perhaps if this was incorporated with his body / guitar in shot it may have had a completely different feel to it, but as is I don't think it works too well.

[6] This is another great shot... the interaction between them is good and the fact they enjoy playing together is obvious. The shot is balanced well and is very clear. Its just a shame the monitor is in the bottom of the shot. Was there any scope to crop it out of the final shot without it looking odd?

[7] This works really well and the lighting is very nice here. I like the fact there are different colours in the overall shot and it brings interest to an already interesting composition. The pose is good, both with the singer and the guy in the background. You've done well not to have the one in the background obscured by any of the mic stand. Detail is again good here. Nothing I'd change there.

[8] This is kind of cool! Something different but yet something you see the effects from in other peoples' photos of the weekend!! nice!
