Hello! Few shots of Trophy Scars a hard rock band from New Jersey.

#1

#2

#3

#4

#5

Thanks!

Good photos, good energy.

#2 and #5 are easy to look at because of their simplicity.

I have to have a second look at #1 :)

#3 - I'd crop off that piece of brick wall. I do a lot of "fine tuning" of my own images to simplify them. At least to my eye, rather simple actions to remove even small visual clutter helps often the image.

Both #3 and #4 have a lot of energy, which I like.

Doesn't look like an easy venue to shoot at, and I think you did very well. I also like the post processing.

I like #2.
Agree with Kalles suggested crop on #3.
I think it's better then than #4. (allthough the singers expression is better in #4)

#2 is funky with the red!

#3 and 4 shows the singers' energy.

Nice set!

Thanks!

The venue doesn't have great lighting but I like it. The club has a nice feel it's very intimate which I almost prefer over tons of lights and effects..... almost. ;)

Thanks for the tip on the brick wall. I never think much about little things like that. It's something I need to work on! I think the most challenging part of concert photography is creating multi layered images with minimal clutter! The emotion part is fairly simple as long as you have decent performers. imo

I really focused on the singer for these shots. Not purposely though, it just ended up that way. :-[

Here are two more.

I'm not convinced about this one but I think it's interesting, one of those shots I debated about keeping.

#2 I desaturated a lot! very neutral lighting except for that one spot light. >:(

Thanks again for the comments!

Canon 20D, 350D, 35mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 430 EX and 580EX flash.

These seem pretty saturated ... guess someone said that. I'd rather have more image and less border as this size is just for old eyes. Good capture of the action/emotion.

I like the last one. You might want to crop a bit off the right though...
