Kotiteollisuus @ Lutakko

Once again, some photos from Lutakko. Kotiteollisuus was playing there 8th of December.

#1

#2

#3

#4

#5

#6

#7

Rest can be found here.
I was in the belive that Kotiteollisuus was very hard band to photograph, and to get anything new out from them wouldn't be far from impossible. Well, personally I would say that wasn't far from turth, but still I somehow managed to get a handfull of photos I liked. Post processing was a bit harder. They had these lights coming from straigth down hard on their faces, which gave way too much contrast, as seen in number 4.
My personal favorite of these would be number 7, and trollish looking number 3.
Phew.

#7 is a real winner. So Hynynnen! I would definately hang a large print in frames on my wall.
Bad lighting it was that drove you to that kind of colour adjustment?

Yeah. Originally Hynynen was all red, except his face and finger a little blue. That was thanks to some girl from the audience, who happened to take a photo with flash at the same time.

Mmm, large print would certainly look nice.

I think #6 and #7 work best here.

#6 - I would have preferred to see the background darkened a little but I really like the silhouetted arms.

#7 - As has been said, I think this is your best photo from those presented here. Nice moment and good composition :)

I like #7
#1 and #2 IMHO closely follow Kalle's techniques.
#3 is, yes, on downside.
From #5- #6 I'd leave only one.

Could you be more specific? I understand it on the second photo (the angle and how everything is composed), but one and three? Do you mean post processing?

L

Yes, you guessed just right.
The photo with guys and empty space also reminds me of Kalle's "empty space" shots back then. And yes, the Photoshop toning and graining.

Definitely #7 in 24" x 36", matted, framed and signed by the guy giving his number of known parents.
