What's the verdict?
I've been using Lightroom mostly but now that I am on my own to license software I'm thinking of switching over to Aperture. It is cheaper and the latest version is more intuitive and user friendly than previous versions.
So far I am impressed with what Aperture 2 does and I like the fact that it integrates nicely with other apple software I use every day.
What is anyone else's verdict?
Hmmm... I would like to try
Hmmm... I would like to try Aperture v2. I have the prior version and have 'mostly' left it for Lightroom.
Unfortunately, Lightroom 1.3 does not support custom watermarks or dual monitors. I'm anxious to see when a Lightroom v2 is out and what it will offer.
For now, when I need to quickly and easily resize, requal, resort, and throw a watermark on images, I still go back to Aperture.
This older version of Aperture is a total hog on resources and I frequently wait excessive amounts of time for simple tasks. I hear that it responds a bit better in v2. The new feature list for Aperture v2 looks pretty nice as well.
Adobe will have to speed up production of Lightroom in order to keep me from leaning on Aperture more!
