Grand Ole Party

Live at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA. They opened for the New York Dolls and did a pretty good set, very different from the Dolls and were well received by the audience.

I hate those headsets. Otherwise nice set.

The headsets are ugly, even the skin colored ones. Might OK for a Broadway Musical, but for singer/songwriters they are stupid and distort the faces horribly. But I asked Taylor Swift's (ex-)manager who is a friend of mine and he defended them left and right ... so much as they worry constantly about having the talent look good/perfect there's apparently some level of convenience that simply blows all that away. I also agree the images are good although the lighting is too bad.

Normally I would agree, but give her a break... she has to sing lead AND play drums. The only way she can effectively do it is with the headset.
