Tarja Turunen's photo contest for her tourbook

Tarja Turunen's contest of a pictures for her tour book.
She does not really pay. :)

Read the entire set of rules carefully. None of the photographers are receiving credit in the tour book so no one will even know you took the picture(s) if selected. Further, check out the rights grabbing language further down. You give Universal Music Germany some pretty broad rights with no compensation in exchange. This practice is commonly known as "crowd sourcing" from music artists and record labels. You devalue your own work by using it this way.

This is an excellent example of one of the missions of MusicPhotographers.net. We discourage entering contests like this because of the rights grabbing language. Obviously the record label will be happy to use poor quality work from fans at the price of free rather than pay fair market rates for professional photographs from a great photographer who knows what they are doing.

You're forgetting the "also the chance to meet Tarja backstage after the concert."

That, in itself, is worth more than my weight in rupies.

And I'm a HEFTY boy!

:)

But on a serious note, this is so bogus as to boggle the imagination!
