Hopefully the Nikon shooters among us saw the announcements from Nikon today:
The tilt-shift lenses may not be of much interest to music photographers (although I could think of some interesting artistic promo shot applications), but the new D700 (at US$3000) and SB-900 will be.

If only we had the funds to purchase this camera...sigh.... Maybe the next model.
Interesting D700 Analysis
If you have never read their articles, the guys over at Luminous Landscape have some really great information. They review a lot of equipment - cameras of every format, printers of every size, all kinds of accessories, and lots more. They wrote up a little analysis for Nikon's D700 announcement. It is worth a read as they provide some comparative analysis relative to the D300, D3 and the Canon 5D (and highly anticipated 5D update).

Great read! Since I didn't upgrade to the d200 or d300, I would rather spend an extra $1200 on the d700. This is all in theory because I don't have any money allocated for an upgrade at this point.
