Earlier this year, I posted a note encouraging everyone to provide their contact information to the Music Press Report directory. The culmination of people's contributions is CJ Chilvers' Guide to the Music Press 2008. This is an e-Book you can purchase and download from LuLu.com for $12.50. This lists hundreds of print and electronic publications, as well as hundreds of photographers and writers who focus on the music business. This is a great resource, and at $12.50 who can beat the price?

If you don't find your name in the photographers list, or your publication in the print or electronic publication lists, make sure you watch the Music Press Report's website requesting information and entries for the next edition (2009). If you don't provide your own information, you will not be listed. This is a very valuable resource not only for photographers and writers, but also for publicists and record labels who need our help to get their bands publicized in the media.

As this is a downloadable PDF, some will feel the desire to share it with others. Please purchase your own copy and don't share it. CJ has spent the better part of a year compiling this information. Let's support his efforts so that he will be encouraged to continue to produce this in the coming years. This will save all of us LOTS of work.
