Photoshop CS2 question

Hey, my version of Photoshop CS2 has suddenly stopped letting me work with type. What I mean is, I can add the type, but I no longer get the handles to resize or stretch it directly.

This has happened once before and I can't for the life of me remember how to turn this function back on.

I'm on Windows, XP Media Pro for my OS.

Man, I hate senior moments.

Can anyone nudge me in the right direction? Do it here so the answer might benefit someone else down the road. (Maybe even me, heh!)

Did you try control t?

DO'OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one speed key combination I didn't try thinking it was too obvious to work.

Thanks, Stacey!

I read somewhere that there is a fast way to put a border on a print, say a 5 pixel line, all the way around an image. Possibly something that could be done as an action.

Anyone help me out with this one?

Actions are incredible time savers! There are several different ways that you can do it.
Open a photo.
In the actions palatte, click the create new action icon and name it.
Go under image, then canvas size.
Change the units to pixels and enter 5 in both boxes, then click okay and click the stop recording icon in the actions palette.

You can also do it by:
opening photo, select all, go under edit and then stroke

As Stacey said, actions are great. They make repeatable, automated tools for your toolbox to speed up lots of things. For borders, use the canvas option that Stacey recommends. When you do that, make sure you remember to look at the color option so you get the color of border you want.
