Biography

Hey! Georgie Boy here! I've been a musician and music fan since I was a young teen. I've always been an artistic creative person and had an interest in photography. I finally took the plunge to become a photographer and get serious about it back in the summer of 2005. Since the beginning I've been doing concert photography starting with my very first show shooting The Dickies at the Sterling Hotel in Allentown, PA very close to where I live and have shot many, many punk and alternative bands. I never really have had an aspiration to solely shoot concert photography professional, but I will always love it. My aspirations lay in more diverse fields of photography. For a while my peak in concert photography was when I shot Gwar at several shows back in 2006 thanks to a connection with one of the slaves/artist/stage manager of Gwar, Bob Gorman. I've had much praise for my photographs of Gwar and modestly proclaim to have created some of the most compelling live shots of the band since their inception in 1984. It's really some of the only photography I've done that I'm relatively satisfied with. After taking a year off from concert photography, and honestly doing much less photography in general in 2007, I returned in '08 with another Gwar mini-tour in May, then shooting numerous shows on their extensive fall 2008 'Electile Dysfunction' tour. Many of their flyers and recent tour shots and their "IWA: Intergalactic Wrestling Association" shirts bear my photography. I'm looking to expand and delve into the world of professional photography as I still consider myself to be only semi-professional since my professional work is extremely limited. I just began my formal education in photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA in July 2009 and LOVE it so far! It has exceeded every expection I had! I am slated to graduate early 2012 and will likely either remain in the wonderful town of Santa Barbara or return to Los Angeles to exploit the endless possibilities of that wonderful city I miss so much! Like my work? Let me know! See consistant problems technically or even artistically, please let me know! I'm always looking to develop my skills and what I really do consider my art form.
